Professional background

WDI was incorporated over 45 years ago in the Pacific Northwest. The advent of modular furniture created a need for specialized services not provided by the traditional moving & storage industry. The principals of WDI have extensive experience in both construction and moving & storage. This combination produced the required background to better service a new market. 

Over 40 years ago, WDI of Hawaii opened to service these same market needs. We are licensed contractors. We hold a C-5 license for cabinet, millwork & remodeling as well as a C-25 license for commercial & institutional equipment installation. We also have a PUC (Moving & Storage) license. Our work has been featured in interior design magazine, Architectural Digest, Hawaii Architect, Building Industry Digest, Island Homes, Hawaiian Style Magazine, The Star Bulletin, The Maui News, on National television and in International advertising for the Knoll Group.
